We ourselves really like fashion illustration and we think that it will captivate you too. Surely everyone has seen these attractive, light and airy images in books and fashion magazines.
Our course is a real opportunity to learn how to make the same illustrations in our own style: we will study the works of old masters, different techniques, find out how and why the illustration has come to this day exactly the way it is now.
In the process of learning, we will draw a lot of illustrations: from pencil sketches to collages and full-fledged watercolor illustrations with splashes and blots - in the best traditions.
At the end of the course, you will have a stack of your own work that will form the basis of your portfolio. You will get a lot of ready-made and proven recipes, while your work will turn out to be so light and fresh that they themselves will ask for the pages of magazines.
What will we learn?
We will analyze the structure and proportions of the human body, determine the balance of the figure. Let's sketch a person in front, profile, three-quarters and from the back. We will also analyze the patterns of constructing poses and do the final work according to the description.
This is not an academic course in anatomy and human drawing. Simplified, but understandable schemes and proportions of how to draw a person in different poses and angles will be given, which are sufficient for the fashion style.
PROPORTIONS OF THE FACE
After studying the proportions of the body, we will consider in detail the proportions of the face, learn how to build a face, profile and a half-turn in three quarters. You will learn the principles of building foreshortened head positions. Be sure to do the work with colored watercolors or ink.
We will learn the differences between static (stationary) figures and postures in motion. Let's draw a model of a person using pencils, markers, ink or watercolor.
